Knitting Loom: 26 peg large gauge loom
Yarn: 247m (270yds) super bulky merino wool [Malabrigo Rasta, 100% merino wool, 82m (90yds) per 150g (5oz) skein used in sample]
Tools: Knitting tool; Tapestry needle
147cm x 25cm (58in x 10in)
10 stitches and 16 rows to 10cm (4in) in pattern
k = knit stitch
p = purl stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
sl = slip (skip the peg with the working yarn behind the peg)
Worked as a flat panel. Cast on edge and bound off edge are seamed together to create a circular item. Skip the first peg of the row with yarn behind the peg and knit the last peg.
Cast on 26 sts, prepare to work a flat panel.
Row 1: sl 1, *k1, p1; rep from * to last peg, k1.
Row 2: sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to last peg, k1.
Row 3: sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to last peg, k1.
Row 4: sl 1, *k1, p1; rep from * to last peg, k1.
Rep Rows 1–4 until panel measures 147cm (58in) from cast on edge.
Bind off with Basic Bind Off method (explained further on page 35 of the book), leaving a 50cm (20in) yarn tail. Using a tapestry needle, sew the cast on edge to the bound-off edge. Weave ends in. Block lightly.
