YOU’LL NEED:
    • 1 x 50g ball DMC Natura Just Cotton, shade N27 Star Light
    • 2.5mm needles.
SIZE:
    • Finished measurement: Approx 58in length x 2in width
TENSION:
    • 28 sts x 48 rows
    • 10cm x 10cm
    • moss stitch
    • 2.5mm needles
ABBREVIATIONS:
    • K knit
    • P purl
    • St(s) stitches
    • Rep repeat
    • Inc increase
TIE

    Cast on 13 sts The following 10 rows set the pattern.

    • Row 1: (RS) P1, k1, p1, (k3, p1) twice, k1, p1.

    • Row 2: P1, k1, p3, k1, p1, k1, p3, k1, p1.

    • Row 3: P1, k2, (k1, p1), three times, k3, p1.

    • Row 4: P3, (k1, p1) three times, k1, p3.

    • Row 5: Rep Row 3

    • Row 6: Rep Row 2

    • Row 7: Rep Row 1

    • Row 8: (P1, k1) twice, p5, (k1, p1) twice.

    • Row 9: (P1, k3) twice, (p1, k1) twice, p1.

    • Row 10: Rep Row 8.

    Rep Rows 1-10 36 times or until tie measures approx 89cm, ending after a Row 10.

    Inc as follows for the next 10 rows:

    • Row 1: Inc 1 st purlwise in first st, continue in patt to last 2 sts, inc in next st purlwise, p1.

    • Row 2: P2, k1, p3, k1, p1, k1, p3, k1, p2.

    • Row 3: P2, k2, (k1, p1), three times, k3, p2.

    • Row 4: P4, (k1, p1) three times, k1, p4.

    • Row 5: Rep Row 3.

    • Row 6: Rep Row 2.

    • Row 7: Rep Row 1.

    • Row 8: P1, (p1, k1) twice, p5, (k1, p1) twice, p1.

    • Row 9: P1, (p1, k3) twice, (p1, k1) twice, p2.

    • Row 10: Rep Row 8.

    Continue straight as follows:

    • Row 1: P2, k1, p1, (k3, p1) twice, k1, p2.

    • Row 2: P2, k1, p3, k1, p1, k1, p3, k1, p2.

    • Row 3: P2, k2, (k1, p1), three times, k3, p2.

    • Row 4: P4, (k1, p1) three times, k1, p4.

    • Row 5: Rep Row 3.

    • Row 6: Rep Row 2.

    • Row 7: Rep Row 1.

    • Row 8: P1, (p1, k1) twice, p5, (k1, p1) twice, p1.

    • Row 9: P1, (p1, k3) twice, (p1, k1) twice, p2.

    • Row 10: Rep Row 8.

    Rep these last 10 rows until tie measures 147cm ending after a Row 10. Cast off. Press tie gently using a damp cloth on wrong side.
