Make Vintage Look Tins

Aren’t these vintage-looking tins wonderful? Made simply, they have the ability to add a retro touch to your kitchen - and they come up in pretty handy too! Store kitchen essentials inside, or create a lovely plant display with them instead. The choice is yours.

You'll Need:
    • Clean tin cans
    • Printed labels – search online for free vintage labels
    • PVA glue
    • Wash and dry the tins thoroughly. Choose a large enough label or selection of smaller labels to cover the whole of the tin and trim down if necessary. Avoid slicing through any major parts of the design.

    • Dilute the glue and paste the back of the paper label. Allow the glue to soak in for a few seconds before wrapping around the tin and smoothing down with a soft, dry cloth.

    • Flatten as much as possible without tearing the paper and you will find any wrinkles will disappear once the glue has dried. When the paper is completely dry re-coat with PVA to seal and ensure that the tins wipe clean.
