Debbie Bliss knitted throw
This cosy throw has a wonderfully comforting texture and will brighten any armchair. It’s made in a luxurious purple with a contrasting red trim, but will work in any combination of colours, so pick those that suit your room. Perfect for curling up with, this throw is an extremely simple pattern and the end result is well worth the effort.
You’ll need
- 10 x 50g hanks of Debbie
- Bliss Paloma in cyclaman (M) and 3 x 50g hanks in ruby (C)
- One long 10mm circular knitting needle

Work backwards and forwards in rows.
K 11 rows. Now work in patt as follows:
Row 1: ( right side ) K9C, with M, k1, [p1, k1] to last 9 sts, k9C. This row forms the moss st in main colour with garter st border in contrast colour and is repeated.
Cont in patt until work measures 132cm from cast on edge, ending with a wrong side row.
With C, k 10 rows.
Cast off.
With 10mm circular needle and C, cast on 77 sts.
