- 200g dark chocolate
- 250g butter, softened
- 375g caster sugar
- 80g cocoa powder
- 60g plain flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 4 large eggs
- 8x8 inch tin greased and lined with parchment paper
Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over simmering water. Meanwhile mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder together in a bowl.
When the chocolate and butter have melted, mix into the dry ingredients. Once combined, add the eggs one at a a time, mixing well.
Pour the mixture into a greased and lined tin and bake for 35- 40 minutes at 180ºC/gas mark 4. The brownies will crack on the top when they’re ready.
