Create Sarah Moore’s pretty patchwork noticeboard

If you loved our worldly noticeboard on p53 of Homemaker, why not have a go at this more advanced patchwork version? Make Sarah Moore explains why she loves it…

“I have tried to make the kind of patchwork that I would like to own on a number of occasions. Not for me the simple machined squares, I hanker after minute hexagons of perfect chintz or faded ticking, cut from flannel shirts and best dresses. and all held together with meticulous stitching. But there is something about the perfect symmetry, incredibly slow progress and precision of the process that I understand I will struggle in vain to achieve. So I like to cheat. Paper, I have discovered, can be just as effective.”
