Cactus Christmas Tree Project

“Rockin’ around the cactus tree, at the Christmas party hop.” That’s how the song goes, isn’t it? Maybe not. But it doesn’t stop us from singing it at the top of our voices, in adoration for Ruth Oliver’s latest triumph. This stitched cactus is a fabulous alternative to the traditional tree. The structure is made simply from combining felt and stuffing, while strings of lights are beautifully imitated by every crafter’s favourite accessory: pompom trim. So give it a go and have a real fiesta this Christmas.
