We’ve just heard that Danish designer Melanie Helbak www.storynorth.com has landed her vibrant earthenware designs here in the UK and they’ve got us all ‘fired’ up for getting handy with a paintbrush. Melanie’s simple, graphic designs are decorated by hand using a technique called ‘transfer printing’. We love how her pieces are shaped to fulfill several functions, allowing us to be creative with their use.
Here at Homemaker, we have been poring over these stunning Delphine fabrics from Harlequin www.harlequin.uk.com/harlequin-fabrics.aspx. A blissful combination of old meets new, the collection brings prints from the 1930s into the modern age – perfect for refreshing a room.
We think these wildlife cushions by Isabel Rogers www.isabelrogers.co.uk are simply adorable; a lovely way to bring a bit of the British countryside into the living room. We had a chat with Isabel, and now we know more about them, we love them even more.
