We know it can be hard to find delicious recipes for gluten-free treats, so we wanted to share this one with you for some lovely, fruity, buttery cookies. They contain Millet flour, one of the earliest cultivated grains with a mild slightly nutty flavour, which can be found from Doves Farm, the organic flour specialists. Millet flour can be used in a variety of gluten-free baking recipes, so you can conveniently whip up any of your cravings!
Sultana cookies (Makes 10)
- 50g sultanas
- 4 tbsps milk
- 25g butter
- 25g sugar
- 50g Millet flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
Soak the sultanas in the milk, set aside.
In a bowl beat together the butter and sugar.
Sieve the flour and baking powder into the bowl.
Pour the milk and sultanas into the bowl and mix well.
Put spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment lined baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven for 15/18 minutes.
TEMPERATURE & COOKING TIME
Oven 170°C/Fan 150°C/325°F/Gas 3 for 15/18 minutes
